Tina was pregnant, and she didn’t like that her husband was spending more time with their son from his first marriage. But one incident changed everything…

The husband of Tina called her and warned her that his mother was ill, and their son rarely left the house. He needed to take him out for a walk. Tina was unhappy about this and reminded him not to forget that she was pregnant and needed attention too. Upset, she couldn’t understand how she had ended up at the bus stop from her office.
She didn’t like the situation with her husband’s child from his first marriage: after the death of his mother, he became an orphan, but he had a young grandmother of his own. Let her take care of him.

“What am I doing here?” Tina asked herself. When Daniel first mentioned his wife’s death, there was an immediate suggestion: to take Valera in as their own son. But Tina asked him to understand her and refused to take the boy in. Her husband didn’t insist because his wife was pregnant, and he didn’t want to cause her any stress, even though it hurt him deeply.

Tina’s thoughts were interrupted by a phone call from a woman speaking loudly with her mother. After hearing something, she could barely contain her emotions. After finishing the call, she began to tell the whole bus to her friend what had happened:

“Can you imagine, our cat Barsik saved a dog!”

“How so?” her friend asked.

“Two years ago, someone left a little red kitten on my mom’s doorstep. He couldn’t even eat, and when my mom went to get a dropper to feed him, she couldn’t find the kitten. He disappeared. After a long search, she found him on our dog Nargiz’s doghouse, who had become free at that time. Nargiz started feeding Barsik. And today, Barsik came and meowed incessantly, pointing at the door. Mom understood he was calling her. She followed him into the woods, and it turned out our Nargiz got caught in a trap… a bit more, and she wouldn’t have made it… Barsik saved her.”

“Yeah… what loyal animals, how much love and care they have…”

“That’s for sure! You rarely meet people like that,” her friend agreed.

Tina felt sad; suddenly, she realized, “I’m so cruel.” She got off the bus and hurried home through the park. There, she noticed her husband and son and approached them. (Her husband’s mother lived nearby). Tina politely asked what they were doing and suggested continuing the conversation at home. The boy got nervous and said he needed to let his grandmother know before going home.

“I meant to our home. Let’s go, have some tea,” Tina suggested with a smile.

At home, they set the table, and the boy eagerly helped Tina. And suddenly, she asked, “Would you like a little sister?”

“Of course!” he immediately replied. “I’ll protect her and play with her.”

Tina hugged the boy. Her husband looked at her gratefully, tears welled up in his eyes.
