There’s nothing like a round of peekaboo to fill the room with laughter, especially when you’ve got twin baby girls to play with! This afternoon, I leaned over their crib and decided to surprise them with a little peekaboo session, and their reactions were too cute to handle.
Both girls were lying on their backs, babbling and kicking their tiny legs, completely unaware of what was about to happen. I crouched down low, hiding out of sight, and called out softly, “Where’s Mommy?” There was a moment of silence, followed by two pairs of curious, wide eyes scanning the crib rail, wondering where I had gone.
Then, with a big smile, I popped up and said, “Peekaboo!”
The giggles started immediately—two perfect, tiny baby laughs ringing out at the same time. One of them clutched her little hands together and kicked her legs even harder, while her sister let out the cutest squeal, her eyes sparkling with joy.
Every time I ducked down, they’d lean their heads slightly toward each other, almost as if plotting, “Is she coming back? What’s happening?” And when I’d pop back up again, their laughter would bubble over, louder and sweeter than before.
At one point, one of the girls started waving her arms like she was trying to join in the game, while her sister grabbed the edge of her sleep sack, giggling uncontrollably. It was pure magic—a moment of simple joy that made my heart so full.
Playing peekaboo with my twins in their crib is easily one of my favorite parts of the day. It’s incredible how such a small game can create so much laughter and love. These are the moments I’ll treasure forever, and the best part? With twins, it’s always double the fun and double the happiness. ❤️
