For most people, a deep-seated instinct just kind of kicks in when they hear a catchy tune and they start moving and grooving. Of course, that’s not so easy for a baby who hasn’t even started walking yet, much less learned to dance. But that’s exactly why this video is so completely adorable and still pops up every now and again, even almost a decade after it first went viral and melted hearts around the world.
At just eight months old, little Sydney Foye probably hadn’t hit that first-step milestone just yet. But she was “just the right height to grab up on the guitar and start strumming it, and she rocked out, so we had to tape it,” said her dad, Aaron.
Back in 2010, he was working as a professional musician with Willie Nelson’s band, so it made sense that she had the music in her.
The video below was taken in 2008 and shows young Sydney getting down to Bon Jovi’s “Dead Or Alive,” as her dad sings and plays the guitar.
She headbangs and boogies and shakes for all she’s worth, but has the presence of mind to hang on to the guitar throughout the piece to keep from toppling over!
Sydney’s grown up now, but she thankfully hasn’t forgotten her musical roots and continues to jam out with good ol’ dad. Watch this adorable father-daughter moment in the clip below, and remember to share to melt some more hearts!
