Judges turn chairs 4 seconds into “The Voice Kids” audition

When talented teen Jade De Rijcke decided to sing “Homesick” by Dua Lipa, she never expected to see The Voice Kids judges’ chairs turn in under four seconds.

A Belgium native, Jade auditioned for “The Voice Kids” in her native country back in 2018. Within the first few seconds of her performance, it was clear to the judges that she was something special. First one judge, then another turned their chairs, and she hadn’t even finished the first measure of the song she was singing. It was the fastest chair turn in the show’s history, and Jade would go on, unflappable, to finish her performance without batting an eye. Eventually, all four judges would turn to signal they wanted Jade to join their team.

Jade would go on to win 2018 The Voice Kids season. Her silky voice charmed the judges, and her confident presence on stage impressed us all. It’s no wonder she did so well on the show. She really is a star.Music is definitely in Jade’s blood, for she just recently released the single “Straw House.” “It is a quiet song in which I completely agree,” says Jade, “but for the sake of clarity, the text about a difficult relationship is not about me.”
