Mom Is Stunned After Ultrasound Reveals She’s About To Birth Miraculous 1-In-200 Million Triplet Boys

Gina and Craig Dewdney knew their lives would change when they had kids, but they didn’t realize how much until they found out they were having three babies instead of one. The triplets are identical as well, which is extremely rare and potentially dangerous.

There is a 1-in-200 million chance of conceiving identical triplets and a high risk of losing one of the babies during the pregnancy as they are all in one placenta. One of the Dewdney babies was born in the amniotic sac, which decreased his chance of survival as well.

It was at the first ultrasound appointment that Gina and Craig found out they were having multiple babies, but they were initially told it was twins. During the scan, the medical professionals were able to find the third baby’s head and realized they were all three indeed sharing one placenta. Gina said the room fell quiet in shock.

They planned a C-Section, but Gina’s water broke at 31 weeks so she required an emergency operation. There were 30 doctors and nurses in the room when the triplets were born. Each baby had a team assigned to them and all three were delivered at the same time. The entire process took less than two minutes, even with one of the boys, Jaxon, being born in the amniotic sac.

Jaxon, Jensen and Jimmy were delivered at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital and are referred to as the Cheshire triplets. Born on April 26, they are 6-months-old in October 2021 and perfectly healthy babies. The triplet’s parents couldn’t be more thrilled. Keep reading to learn more about this miraculous family.

The couple shared that they found out they were expecting a baby soon after they began trying. In an interview with the Liverpool Echo, Gina said:

“I found out very early that I was pregnant, within a few weeks, and I started getting really severe migraines, which I don’t usually suffer from. But I was having visual migraines, really bad headaches and insomnia – I just couldn’t sleep and kept waking up in the middle of the night wide awake. I had this feeling that there was more than one baby and I had a feeling we were having twins.”

The couple decided to keep the pregnancy a secret until after their ultrasound appointment. Gina added: “Our first scan wasn’t until 13 weeks and we went to the Liverpool Women’s and straight away the woman who put the ultrasound on said it was twins. And because I already told Craig and I had it in my head, it was a bit of a shock because one thing having a feeling about it and then being told it was real.”

She continued, “But 15 to 20 minutes into the scan she was scanning around my stomach and it went deadly quiet in the room and all you could see on the screen was three heads. My husband asked ‘is that a third head?'”

The boys had to stay in the hospital for six weeks after birth but are growing nicely and are all healthy. The mom shared, “They’re starting to smile now and starting to see their characters. What is interesting is they are all identical and DNA is the same, but they’ve got such different personalities already.”
