It is Easter Sunday, and this brave young girl who is only 3 years of age steps up to the microphone in her pink dress, black shoes, and braided hair. She begins to sing a worship song to God. She sings with confidence and innocence.
The chorus sings:
“Gethsemane
Jesus loves me
So He went willingly
To Gethsemane”
When we hear this message of the gospel of Jesus sung from the mouth of a little child, it really puts into perspective that God is our Father. He loves us so much more proud than this little girl’s own parents are of her for her solo, He is even more proud of us. Not that we have anything elaborate to offer Him. In fact, we have nothing to offer Him that is good.
Only by His grace and mercy can we give anything in return for all He has done for us. He is so worthy. As we witness His truth coming through this child, may we remember that He loves our sacrifices of praise, no matter how small they may seem. They are absolutely beautiful to Him.
As this girl finishes her song, she gives a happy smile as the church cheers. Her song of faith has inspired many. Jesus came to Gethsemane and then the cross to defeat sin and death on behalf of all who believe in Him. Glory to God forever, and praise Him for this precious one.
